Aimee Szabo
After earning her Bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University, Aimee spent 8 years in Italy, where she taught English as a second language and started her own laundromat business. Upon her return to Detroit, she found her calling as a Community Organizer, helping the residents of Detroit to create block clubs and community patrols, with the goal of making their neighborhoods cleaner and safer. While in this role, she gained experience communicating with a diverse population of people and perfected her leadership skills. Aimee was drawn to her role at Life Skills Village because she is passionate about helping people and fostering a spirit of service in others. In her free time, Aimee likes to travel, take photographs and spend time with her friends.
