Assistant Residential Program Manager

Location:     Oak Park, MI – Servicing Wayne, Oakland, and Washtenaw counties

Type: Full Time

Responsibilities:

•    Daily contact with residential clients 
•    Read/respond to communication log daily and sign off
•    Daily documentation of all resident contact
•    Continuous communication with direct care staff, leadership team, and Medical Director
•    Regular communication with external therapy and behavioral health staff
•    Regular communication/follow-up with families
•    Regular communication with case managers
•    Incident Reporting
•    Assist with scheduling and supervision
•    Prepare weekly client schedules
•    Assist with payroll and avoid overtime
•    Coordinate resident activities
•    Integrates knowledge of client/family needs in the planning and delivery of client care

Required Qualifications:

•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Valid driver's license with Acceptable driving record
•    Knowledgeable of HIPAA Privacy Rules
•    Previous experience working with computers, i.e. Microsoft Office
•    Leadership skills
•    Willingness to work weekends, evening, and some holidays
•    Willingness to be on-call
•    Willingness to provide patient care 
•    Excellent interpersonal skills to relate to clients and internal & external customers
•    Ability and willingness to learn new skills
•    Ability and willingness to set priorities
•    Ability to work as part on an interdisciplinary team and serve as a team member
•    Ability to lift, maneuver and carry up to 30lbs
•    Provision of services according to the needs and demands of families, our clients, and therapy/job training services

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Previous supervisory experience managing/supervising behavioral homes
•    Two years of college in the areas of psychology, social work, mental health, or related health fields or one year experience in the mental health field or other related health care experience preferred

The Life Skills Semi-Independent Residential (LSR) program focuses on promoting the transition to independence for individuals recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury.  The Psychologically Minded residential team works with medical rehabilitative staff to develop treatment and care plans that lead to the highest levels of independence.  LSR specializes in placing clients in the general community to prompt better outcomes in community reintegration and a return to independence.  The semi-independent residential program helps fulfill some major life goals for clients, including: self-determination, independence, dignity and – ultimately – happiness.
