Life Skills Village remains open. We are an essential business providing necessary care to our patients, and we take that responsibility very seriously.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, guidance/regulation/executive orders given by the Federal, State and local governments, Life Skills Village has implemented the following precautions, rules, and policies to protect Clients, Employees, and the public.
Education and Information actions
LSV will educate its staff about the COVID-19 virus to the best of its ability given the most current information.
The LSV executive leadership team will continue to monitor the CDC, WHO, DHHS, State of Michigan Coronavirus webpage, SoM Executive Orders, MDHHS and other appropriate sources to maintain updated information, guidance on the virus, recommended preventive actions, and other general LSV practices.
Here are the steps Life Skills' is taking to protect our employees and clients:
No unscheduled visitors with be allowed during this time period.
Many services will be offered via telehealth.
For services that require face-to-face interactions:
Social distancing will be used the greatest extent possible.
Services will not be provided if any of the participants are showing possible signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or have had a known exposure.
Any staff working on site will check their temperature at least once per day and will immediately leave if:
They are running a fever (consider any temperature above 99.5).
OR are showing signs of symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection.
Any staff that show signs/symptoms of COVID-19 infection OR have a known exposure will not work on-site until seven days past the first day of signs/symptoms appeared or three days with no signs or symptoms; whichever is longer. For staff with known exposure a minimum of 7 days must past without signs or symptoms.
All staff working on site will practice hand-washing guidelines and practice sneezing and coughing etiquette.
All staff working on site will practice social distancing at all times to the greatest extent possible.
All staff will wear masks when moving between work-spaces, or when in common areas.
This plan will be updated as new guidance and regulations are issued.
