The Rec Room

The Rec Room is much more than a comfortable couch, pool table, big screen TV and Video games – it’s also a place where interactions and therapy blend. While clients are welcome to do psychotherapy behind closed doors, many choose to shoot a game of billiards with their therapist during talk therapy.

It’s not uncommon to see:
  • Two clients playing tennis on the Wii (which acts as exercise!)
    • Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution are also favorites
  • Clients watching a movie or playing a game after hours

Regardless of the activity, there is always a rehabilitative AND a fun side. Over the years we’ve learned that the less treatment feels like therapy, the more clients are willing to participate.
